Eligibility and confirmation
Rocky Mountain Tattoo requires tattoo clients to be 18 or older, regardless of parental consent.
Rocky Mountain Tattoo's age minimum applies to every tattoo procedure. Being accompanied by a parent or guardian does not change the studio minimum.
Bring physical government-issued photo ID to the appointment; photos and expired identification are not accepted.
The studio lists a driver’s licence, provincial services or identification card, and passport as accepted examples. Check that the document is current before travelling to the studio.
Rocky Mountain Tattoo publishes a $150 minimum deposit to secure an appointment; deposits vary by artist and tattoo size and are generally non-refundable and non-transferable.
The appointment is confirmed after the studio receives the deposit and the required contract is signed. Custom design work does not begin before the deposit is paid. Use only the payment instructions supplied by the booking staff.
The studio policy allows an eligible deposit to move to a new date one time when you give at least two operational business days of notice and meet the policy conditions.
The replacement date must be within one year of the original appointment, and you must speak directly with studio staff to confirm the change. The studio operates Wednesday through Sunday, so its policy explains how that affects notice for Wednesday or Thursday appointments.
Your body and the appointment
If you want to use a topical numbing product, discuss it with Alex before your appointment and receive approval before applying anything.
The studio says clients must not arrive with a numbing product already applied unless their artist specifically instructed them to do so. Its current policy also requires an advance test patch and explains possible effects on the skin, tattooing process, healing, and touch-up eligibility.
The studio offers one eligible complimentary touch-up by the original artist within six months when proper aftercare was followed, with exclusions for certain placements and numbing-product use.
The studio excludes hands, wrists, feet, neck, and flexion points from complimentary touch-up coverage. A touch-up requested for an excluded area, after improper care, or following numbing-product use may be charged at the artist’s current hourly rate.
Some conditions, medications, pregnancy or breastfeeding, skin states, allergies, and recent treatments can make tattooing unsuitable or require medical clearance under studio policy.
